GOGARBHAM DAM TIRUMALA

Unknown

Gogarbham dam is one of the reservoirs that supply water to Tirumala residents. This reservoir falls on the way to Papavinasanam and is on the hilltop of Tirumala, an abode of Lord Venkateshwara and the highest crowd puller in the country.

The reservoir falls in the middle of the green mountains, one would just fall in love with this tranquil beauty. It’s worth stopping over at this place. There are pockets of mound in the middle of the reservoir supporting some trees and so home to birds around.

A couple of windmills that fall as a background to these beautiful settings, planked on top of the adjacent mountains around make it for a photographers feast.
Mornings and Evenings would be the best time to see this tranquil beauty.

One can take a long walk to this place or catch a local taxi that are available in plenty from Tirumala.

Photography is allowed.
