Many pilgrims take a vow to go on foot from Alipiri to Tirumala through foot path.Pilgrims can use free facilities and bath at Pilgrim Amenities Hall at Srinivasam Complex .Opp RTC Complex Tirupati
,2nd Choultry near railway station ,Tirupati and Bhudevi Complex near Alipiri Bus station .TTD runs free buses from railwaystation ,Tirupati to Alipiri .pilgrims are requested to keep their suitcase or bags under lock and key.They can deposit their luggage after submitting the receipt at luggage collection centre ,tirumala.The transported on the holy Hills luggages absolutely free
Precautions: pilgrims suffering from chronicillness like B.P and Lung diseases are Advised not to climb up the Hills on foot .There are 3,350 foot stepsfrom Alipiri to Tirumalaand the distance is 9km from Alipiri to Tirumala
Drinking Water and toilets are available all along the foot path.Pilgrims are advised to go in groups and avoid going on foot between 10 p.m to 4.a.m.
