| TIRUPATI JEO INAUGURATES DISPENSARY AT GALI GOPURAM |
Addressing the
occasion, he said, to administer proper treatment in the case of emergency to
the foot path route pilgrims, the TTD has set up the dispensary with all
facilities including regular doctors in two shifts. "Earlier there used to
be only a first aid centre in this area. But keeping in view the day by day
increase in the pilgrim ratio in the foot path route, we have set up a
full-fledged dispensary here. Two more dispensaries are under offing, one at
Mokali mettu and another one near 7th mile to cater to the medical needs of the
visiting pilgrims. We are confident that these dispensaries will render good
services to the pilgrims", he maintained.
Later speaking on the
occasion the Chief Medical Officer of TTD Dr.Prabhakar said, the one dispensary
which was inaugurated at Galigopuram has a team of seven staff including one
doctor, one physician, one FNO and one MNO who will works in two shifts from
8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm. "From 8pm to 8am we have deployed one MNO to
take care of the medical requirements of the patients. In the 35th turning we
have ambulance facility. So in the case of emergency the pilgrim will be
shifted to Tirupati in this ambulance", he added. Further he said,
"two more dispensaries are coming up a Tirumala, one near ATC and near
Kalyana Katta which will be functional soon", he added.
All the doctors of
various TTD-run hospitals both at Tirupati and Tirumala, nursing staff and
other officials were also present.
