TAKE UP THE BHAKTHI PROPAGATION MISSION THROUGH BHAJANS-TTD EO

The mission of bhakti propagation across the country should be taken up in a massive manner using Bhajans as the tools of propagation, said TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam.
Addressing the devotees who took part in the Deva Devam Bhaje Bhajan competitions organised jointly by TTD Dasa Sahitya Project and SV Bhakti Channel in Tirumala on Sunday evening at Kalyana Vedika, the EO said, in Kaliyuga the best and easy method of propagation of Bhakti is through Bhajana Sampradayam only. "When you are performing bhajans, the vibrations should reach the hearts of people located not only in the country but across globe. Such is the power of true bhakti".
The EO also called upon the devotees to teach their children the importance of spirituality and learn them the bhajans so that this would help in building up a spiritual India. He appreciated the efforts of organisers for conducting such bhajan competitions thereby enhancing the spirit of spirituality among masses.
Meanwhile about 27 bhajan teams hailing from the state of Karnataka reached the finals which will be organised on Sunday and Monday while there will be mega finals on Tuesday for victorious nine teams in finals. On September 7, the mega final winner will be felicitated and presented the award by TTD EO.
The programme was presided over by Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Dr.Ananda Teerthacharya while Sri Kanaka Sabhapathi hailing from Erode of Tamilnadu was the special guest for the occasion. Renowned carnatic musician Dr.Dwaram Vijaya Lakshmi and famous hindustani artist Sri Ananta Kulkarni acted as the judges for the competition.

SRI JAGANNATHA CHARYA ARADHANOTSAVAMS OBSERVED WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOUR

The aradhana mahotsavams of famous saint poet hailing from Karnataka Sri Jagannathacharya has been observed by Dasa Sahitya project of TTD with religious fervour.

This great saint poet of 18th century penned various scriptures in praise of Lord Jagannatha among which Sriharikathamrithasaram was often considered as a great work as it is a total essence of Bhagavata, Puranetihasam.

Born in a small village of Manvi in Raichur district of Karnataka in 1728, Sri Jagannatha became one of the famous Haridasas of Karnataka region who vigorously took up the mission of Bhakti prachara through bhajan sampradaya after Saint poets Purandhara Dasa, Narayana Dasa and Kanaka Dasa.

The Aradhana mahotsavams which began on Sunday will continue upto September 7. On Sunday about 3000 women devotees sang in chorus the Harikathamritha Saram penned by Sri Jagannatha Dasa and paid rich tributes to the great saint poet.
